Procedure or surgery:
Increase of the chin.
Methods:
– Anatomical solid silicon or porex Implant.
– We locate the implant in contact with the bone, some implants are fixed to it.
Objective:
– To increase the chin and to balance the profile.
– To improve the position of the inferior lip.
– To improve the jowl.
Preoperative preparation:
– Fast 8 hours in advance.
– To communicate possible medicine allergies.
– To go the day of the intervention with comfortable and wide, buttoning or zipper clothing.
– Strict oral cleaning.
Type of Anesthesia:
– It can be carried out under local or general anesthesia if the patient wants it or if it is combined with other surgeries.
Incisions:
– Generally is placed through intraoral way, not leaving external scar.
– Porex Implants are placed through of the skin under the chin.
– The scar is almost imperceptible within 6 to 12 months.

– Swelling during 15 days.

Complications:

Post operative instructions:
– Relative rest the first 2 days.
– To avoid traumatisms of the gum and intraoral mucous when eating.
– To take the recommended medication.
– Strict oral cleaning.
– Post operative ice during 48 hours.
– Do not to take the sun at least in one month.
Hospitalization:
– Ambulatory.
Results:
– Increase of the chin according to the patient’s profile.
Final time:
– One month.
